Szechuan Blackberry

£8.00

Rubus setchuenensis

A rare member of the Rubus family from East Asia / Western China. Described as a deciduous although we have found it to be semi evergreen in mild winters and sheltered spots. Growth habit very similar to our native bramble. A thornless scrambling briar that produces well flavoured 10mm berries from August - November. A very attractive plant with handsome rough textured leaves with a slightly darker green centre.

Price is for one 30-40cm tall bare root plant. Roots will be wrapped in compostable corn starch bag for transport.

We are working to reduce horticultural plastic by growing more plants in deep beds and supplying them bare rooted.
