Asturian Tree Cabbage 1l Pot
Brassica oleracea
A very rare, wonderful pale green heirloom tree cabbage from the Asturias region of Spain. Can grow more than 1 m tall forming a branched woody stem, topped with loose cabbage leaves. Harvest whole leaves throughout the year, use just like spring greens. Can be kept going for many years if the flowers are removed in spring. These are excellent used like small broccoli florets. In Spain this cabbage is used to make ‘Caldo Gallego’ a traditional meat, bean and cabbage stew.
